From the moment you step into your new home to well beyond the warranty period, our team is by your side to assist with any needs you may have.
The Buying Process – Smooth and Supportive
From the moment you express interest in a GS Brown home, our friendly sales team is ready to guide you through every step of the buying process. If you are seeking financial advice, we encourage you to speak with a financial advisor before your home viewings, ensuring that you’re comfortable with your budget. Our sales team can also assist in recommending solicitors who specialise in Scottish property law.
Once you have found your perfect home, we will then proceed to the reservation process. A £750 reservation fee secures your plot for 4 weeks, during which you will work with your solicitor to finalise the legal contract, known as ‘missives’. A second deposit of £750 is paid directly to your solicitor, and both deposits are deducted from your final purchase price.
Move-In Day – A Smooth Transition
On the day of your move, you can expect a professional, organised handover process. Once the funds are received from your solicitor, our Sales Advisor will meet you at your new home. This is where we will officially hand over the keys and start you on your journey as a new homeowner. During the handover, several essential documents and guides will be provided to ensure you’re equipped with all the information you need.

You will receive a GS Brown handover folder containing –
- All the warranties for your brand-new home appliances and heating system.
- A quick start guide to your new house which details information explained at the previous home demonstration.
- Architectural drawings of your home in case of future renovation.
- A detailed plan of all electrical works completed within the home, as well as information on our small contracts company.
- Contact information for our after-sales maintenance department, who will be able to assist you with anything, post completion.
- Details on what kitchen and bathroom choices were installed in your home, with information on our suppliers.
Six-Month Maintenance Letter – Your Opportunity to Raise Concerns
Six months after you have moved in, you will receive a maintenance letter from us. This letter will request you to detail any defects or concerns that need our attention.
The six-month check-in is part of our ongoing effort to maintain a strong relationship with our customers and ensure that your home continues to meet your expectations. Our dedicated maintenance team will review your feedback and schedule any necessary repairs or adjustments, ensuring that everything is up to standard.
Two-Year GS Brown Warranty – Comprehensive Coverage for Your Peace of Mind
At GS Brown Construction, we are committed to your satisfaction and the quality of your home long after you move in. That’s why we offer a two-year warranty on your new home, which covers any defects in construction or materials.

The 10-Year NHBC Warranty

In addition to our two-year warranty, your new GS Brown home comes with the 10-year NHBC warranty, a well-established industry standard that assures you of the quality and safety of your property. This warranty provides coverage for the major structural components of your home, including the cost of repairing damage to your home caused by defects described within the policy.
